Java Software Engineer

Gather and analyze business and technical requirements. Develop and deliver Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) to articulate project specifications and expectations. Create Use Case Diagrams and Object Model Diagrams using MS Visio and MS Office. Develop SQL queries with multi-table joins, group functions and subqueries for data analysis. Conduct mapping and GAP analysis. Develop and implement test plans and test scripts. Generate Crystal Reports to present data insights and analytics. Master’s degree in the Science, Technology, or Engineering (any) is required. Work location: Sterling, VA and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Requirement
- Analyze requirements, design, and develop cloud-based Java Web Applications that meet business needs.
- Work in an agile development environment that is collaborative and encourages new ways of thinking.
- Design and develop external APIs.
- Utilize test frameworks such as junit, guage, Rspec, Shoulda, and cucumber.
- Utilize cloud vendors such as Amazon, MS Azure, Rackspace.
- Build applications that access multi-terabyte big data sources (Hadoop, hbase, hive).
- Minimum educational requirement of a four-year bachelor degree program. Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or the equivalent.
- Must be willing to travel/relocate to anywhere in the US.
